(Thank you for the great review!)
📍Bansang (San Francisco, CA)
Really cute elevated Korean restaurant with tapas style food.
- Uni scallop toast - my favorite! Scallop + uni is a great combo, and the uni was really sweet and creamy
- Mulhwe Noodle - this one surprised me the most. It was a familiar taste yet such a unique dish. The sauce was tangy and refreshing, similar to one you’d use in bibimmyeon. Raw yellowtail was the creative touch and surprisingly complimented it well
- Sunchoke and truffle - rlly interesting combination of flavors and texture. The sunchokes were sweet, the mushrooms were umami, and they were nicely tied together by the smokiness & hint of truffle
- Galbi ribeye - You can’t really go wrong with galbi. It was delicious, but probably the least interesting dish.
The restaurant had a nice vibe and the service was great too. Overall really loved their contemporary take on traditional Korean cuisine and would love to come back and try other dishes.
